EDINBURGH Pakistan maintained their composure in 1st T20I against Scotland to take the game away with margin of 48 runs. Scotland looked real dangerous in initial six overs but then the spinners go better of them and later on fast bowlers also chipped in. Comfortable margin but it was not really the case. Second match would bring closer results if Scotland continue to play like this.
From Pakistan side, Shoaib Malik started the fire works and blasted half century at almost 200 strike rate. Sarfaraz was not equally fast but he did scored longer innings that was fast enough to take the total past 200.
This was Pakistan’s fifth consecutive score of 180 plus while batting first which is a record in its own. Scotland on the other hand were optimistic after beating number one ODI team England in high scoring game but couldn’t fare well against spinners.
